The OSMOSE demo 4 relies on a hybrid flexibility device that combines a battery (completed and verified), a STATCOM and supercapacitors to provide stability support services. The Factory Acceptance Tests have just been achieved with success on the STATCOM plus supercapacitors container and DC-DC converter.
All equipment are now installed at Centro Nacional de Energías Renovables (CENER) – National Renewable Energy Centre site, and their integration is ongoing. The SCADA and the Master control that will coordinate the different devices are now fully developed, and the different control strategies have been defined for testing. The next steps are field operation of the demonstrator and evaluation of the functionalities.
