General Conditions of Use of the Osmose website

By using the “www.osmose-h2020.eu” website, you accept, in their entirety, all of the provisions and conditions mentioned below.

The “www.osmose-h2020.eu” website is accessible 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, except in cases of force majeure, computer difficulties, difficulties linked to telecommunications networks or technical difficulties.
For maintenance reasons, RTE may interrupt access to the website and will endeavour to inform users in advance.
RTE cannot be held liable for any direct or indirect damage that may result from access to or use of the portal, including inaccessibility, loss of data, damage, destruction or viruses that may affect the user’s computer equipment, and/or the presence of viruses on its website.
The cost of access and navigation on the “www.osmose-h2020.eu” portal is the exclusive responsibility of the user.

2. Protection of personal data (DCP)

In accordance with the amended law n°78-17 of 6 January 1978 relating to data processing, files and liberties, the automated processing of personal data implemented as part of the portal has been entered in the register kept by its correspondent for data processing and liberties (CIL) of RTE.
A personal data is defined as an element enabling a natural person to be directly or indirectly identified.
By processing personal data, we mean, within the meaning of Act No. 78-17 of 6 January 1978 known as the “Data Protection Act”, any operation or set of operations involving personal data (DCP) regardless of the process used, including collection, recording, organization, storage, adaptation or modification, retrieval, consultation, use, communication by transmission, dissemination or any other form of making available, reconciliation or interconnection, as well as blocking, erasure or destruction.

3. Information on the treatments carried out for the operation of the website www.osmose-h2020.eu.
In order to ensure effective information on the processing of DCPs required for the operation of the “www.osmose-h2020.eu” website, RTE provides you with a processing sheet. This can be communicated on request to RTE’s Data Protection Correspondent (see address in paragraph 3.3).
The personal data collected within the framework of this website are subject to processing for which the data controller within the meaning of the French Data Protection Act is Gabriel BAREUX, Director of R&D Department.
In particular, the user is informed that the personal information he voluntarily communicates via the forms on the website is intended for the exclusive use of RTE, its subsidiaries. It may be used to respond to a user’s request, provided the user has provided all the data necessary to process the request.

In accordance with the provisions of article 39 of the law “Informatique et Libertés”, any natural person justifying his identity has the right to access the DCP concerning him being the object of a treatment. In this context, any person may in particular obtain:

  • Confirmation whether or not DCP are being processed;
  • Information relating to processing (data, purposes, recipients);
  • Communication from DCP concerning it.

3.2 Right of rectification of DCP
In accordance with the provisions of article 40 of the law “Informatique et Libertés”, any person proving his identity may demand that the DCP concerning him be rectified, completed, updated, locked or deleted as the case may be, if they are inaccurate, incomplete, ambiguous, outdated or whose collection, use, communication or storage is prohibited.
Following this request, the controller will justify to the applicant (free of charge) that the requested operations have been carried out.

3.3 Right to object to treatment
In accordance with the provisions of article 38 of the law “Informatique et Libertés”, every person has the right to oppose that the DCP concerning him be the object of a treatment. The applicant must justify a legitimate reason to oppose such processing.

3.4 How to exercise your rights
To exercise these rights of access, rectification and, where applicable, opposition, you may contact RTE’s “Informatique et Libertés” correspondent by proving your identity (copy of a valid identity document), at the following address:

In accordance with the provisions of Article 94 of the Decree of 20 October 2005 implementing Act No. 78-17 of 6 January 1978, you will receive a reply within two months at the latest.

4. Compliance with legislation
RTE informs users that all laws and regulations in force are applicable to the “www.osmose-h2020.eu” website.
The user undertakes, under penalty of criminal and civil liability, in particular not to use the website for:

  • Transmit by any means whatsoever (e-mail or other), any content including programs, codes, viruses, etc. intended to destroy or limit the functionalities of the website,
  • Transmit by any means whatsoever (e-mail or others) in the interactive services offered on the portal, any illegal or harmful content, and in particular messages of an offensive, insulting, defamatory, degrading, racist, xenophobic, sexist, pornographic nature, threatening or which could incite hatred or harassment and which would go against the right to respect for private life or have nothing to do with the themes proposed,
  • Transmit, by any means whatsoever, any content infringing intellectual property rights, industrial property rights, personality rights, etc.
  • In addition, users are required to comply with the provisions of Act No. 78-17 of 6 January 1978 on Data Processing, Data Files and Individual Liberties, the violation of which is subject to criminal penalties.
    They must also refrain, with regard to personal data to which they have access, from any collection, any misuse, and generally, any act likely to infringe the privacy or reputation of individuals.

5. The conditions of use and information contained on the website www.osmose-h2020.eu .
RTE makes every effort to provide users with available and verified information and/or tools, but cannot be held liable for errors or omissions or for the lack of availability of information and services.
Any unauthorized use of the portal or its content, information disclosed therein would engage the responsibility of the user and would constitute an infringement punishable by articles L. 335-2 and following of the Intellectual Property Code.
Should a user wish to use any of the portal’s content (text, image, etc.), he undertakes to obtain RTE’s prior written authorization by sending a request by e-mail to: rte-osmose-h2020@rte-france.com.
Furthermore, in the context of such authorization, the applicant shall be required to cite its source and RTE shall not be held liable for the use made by the latter of the content he acknowledges using under his exclusive responsibility.

6. Intellectual Property
All information or documents contained on the “www.osmose-h2020.eu” website as well as all elements created for the website are either the property of RTE or are subject to a right of use, operation and reproduction. These elements are subject to copyright protection legislation. Consequently, no license, nor any other right except the right to consult the information, is granted to anyone with regard to intellectual property rights.
The data published on the portal “www.osmose-h2020.eu” are public and their re-use is permitted provided the source is mentioned. However the modification, the total or partial denaturation of the website or its contents, by some process that it is, and on some support that it is prohibited. Any use of this data is the sole responsibility of the user. RTE cannot be held liable for any fraudulent use that constitutes an infringement punishable under the intellectual property code.
RTE brands and logos appearing on the portal are protected. Any total or partial reproduction or representation of these trademarks or logos, alone or integrated with others

7. Cookie and consultation statistics
Users are informed that when they visit the website, a cookie may automatically be installed on their browser software.
A cookie is a block of data used to record information relating to the user’s navigation on the website. The purpose of the use of these cookies is to carry out traffic analyses, audience measurements, etc. in order to improve the quality of the website.
The information concerning the user is intended for RTE and may be transmitted to third parties. Users can oppose this transmission of information by not accepting cookies in the banner on the website.

8. Hypertext links
Hypertext links set up as part of the “www.osmose-h2020.eu” portal to other resources on the Internet, and in particular to partners, have been subject to prior and express authorization.
However, as RTE is not the publisher of these websites, it cannot control their content. Consequently, RTE cannot under any circumstances be held responsible for the content of the websites thus accessible, or for any collection and transmission of personal data, installation of cookies or any other process for the same purposes, carried out by these websites.
In the event of the use of a link redirecting to the “www.osmose-h2020.eu” website which would infringe RTE’s rights, the company reserves the right to initiate any necessary actions or proceedings.

9. Modification of the legal information

10. Applicable law in case of dispute and allocation of jurisdiction
The applicable law is French law. For any dispute, exclusive jurisdiction is attributed to the competent courts within the jurisdiction of the Court of Appeal of Paris (France).
